Learn Spanish in Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires has a metropolitan area population of over 12 million people, making it one of the largest cities in the world. It is undoubtedly one of the busiest and most elegant cities in South America and many consider it to be one of the most important cities in all of Latin America. Buenos Aires has sprung forth into the industrial and technological ages - with modern buildings and a continually evolving cityscape, yet it also keeps in touch with its historic past. Each neighborhood has its own unique feel and attractions, and many areas boast beautiful architecture from different periods in the history of this amazing city. As a metropolitan city, the population of Buenos Aires is highly literate and educated. In addition, Buenos Aires is a cultural center for all of South America, boasting great theaters, museums, restaurants, nightlife and institutions of higher learning.

The weather in Buenos Aires is quite humid and has a cycle of seasons similar to New York City but a winter that is much milder. This is in part because of its location at lower latitude and in part because of the warming effect of the South Atlantic Ocean. In fact, winters are so mild that frost is very rare, and snow is almost unheard of. The last recorded snowfall was in 1918! Transportation in Buenos Aires is very efficient and inexpensive, and overall, Buenos Aires is a very safe city to visit and travel around.
