Homestay

Experience "full Spanish immersion" with an Ecuadorian family. Our partner school's home stays provide you with reinforcement of what you have learned during the day in a family-like atmosphere. Living with an Ecuadorian family is perhaps one of the most interest ways to learn Spanish and to get to know the culture of Ecuador. The school's families are carefully screened to ensure a comfortable environment to live in while attending classes. All family housing is located in quiet and safe residential sections of the city and within walking distance or a short bus ride away from the school. You will find it one of the most rewarding experiences of studying abroad!

Included in every home stay is a very comfortable and private bedroom, three meals per day (breakfast, lunch and dinner), laundry service, and the opportunity to learn about local customs and improve your Spanish.

Whatever your particular needs, be it dietary, rooming arrangements (for couples or singles), private bathroom, or a non-smoking environment, the school will find a suitable family for you.

Accomodation with Ecuadorian families is included for all Quito programs.  For the Sunny Coast, Amazon, and Galapagos programs, different accomodation is provided at those locations.  If a student attending a Quito program does not want to use our home-stay service, a list of other accomodation options (priced around $20 USD daily) will be provided.

Special housing arrangements

If our partner school's home stay arrangements do not meet your requirements, they will arrange a stay in apartments, hostels, hotels or other budget-stay options. Such arrangements require that the school have at least four weeks notice to locate something that meets your particular needs. The school's staff is more than willing to help you in locating accommodations or providing helpful recommendations to facilitate your stay in Ecuador.
