Our partner school's Spanish program on the coast has been developed to allow students to continue improving their Spanish while enjoying the splendor of this wonderfully sunny area of Ecuador. It is located in the Machalilla National Park in the province of Manabi, 450 km. north of Quito. This is an ideal combination of classes in the morning and activities in the afternoon. You will depart from Quito on Sunday evening and return the following Saturday morning. Activities include a visit to the beautiful "Isla de la Plata," which is very popular because of its similarities to the famous Galapagos Islands. Wildlife you will find in the area includes nesting colonies of waved albatross, frigates and three different booby species. They also offer trips to the magnificent beach of Los Frailes, small villages and very interesting archeological sites.
