FAQs
- What teaching methods do you use?
We use a highly communicative approach that has consistently been proven to be the most effectivemethod
when learning a second language. The material we use has been developed and tested over many years. We
maintain very high quality standards, which has gained us a great reputation.
- How experienced are your teachers?
All of our teachers have at least 7 years of teaching experience and all of them have obtained a University
Certificate in Literature or Languages.
- What are your schedules?
The schedules are flexibleand in harmony with the personal preferences of our students. We conductclasses early
in the morning or in the afternoon, from Monday to Friday. You are always guaranteed toreceive the hours you
pay for. The school is open on national holidays and our hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Can you arrange accommodation?
We can arrange different possibilities: with well trusted local host families, hotels or hostels for you;
whichever you prefer. We require advance notice to find you the accommodation that will meet your expectations.
As a point of fact, 80% of our students stay with host families.
- May we stay as a couple with the same host-family?
Yes, you can stay together with the same family. This is a bonus opportunity to experience the warmth of an
Ecuadorian family, taste typical food and practice your Spanish!
- How many hours per day may I study?
The majority of our students take 4-5 hours of classes a day, Monday through Friday.
- How may I pay?
You may pay us with cash, traveller’s checks, MasterCard, or Visa.
- How far from the school are host families located?
10 minutes by bus or a maximum of 20-25 minutes walking distance.
- Do I need a student visa to study Spanish at your school?
You can study Spanish for up to 3 months without a visa. If you want to study more than this amount of time,
we can help you to get a student visa.
- Is the school located in the new town?
Of course! Our school is located in the heart of the new part of Quito. Close to the 5 star hotels, bars,
restaurants, banks and other useful services. The Hilton Colon is located just one block from our school!
- Which kind of additional services do you offer? How much do they cost?
We offer you: Airport transfer upon arrival, 1 free excursion every week, salsa lessons, study materials, Hilton
Hotel facilities which include: spa, gym, sauna, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and swimming pool. We offer broad band
internet service and luggage storage. You will receive a diploma or certificate of studies upon completion of
the program.
- Is it possible to study first in Quito, followed by classes on the coast, in the
jungle and on the Galapagos Islands?
Yes, it is possible! You can continue the same program that you have been studying in Quito while you explore
the beauty of Ecuadorian jungle, coast and / or Galapagos Islands.
