Terms and Conditions


1. This is an agreement between IMAC Spanish Language Programs, herein referred to as 'IMAC S.L.P.' and the applicant, herein referred to also as the student.

2. In submitting the registration-application form, I (the student) understand that I agree to be bound by all of the terms of service described in this document.

3. I also understand that the tuition deposit fee of $100.00 USD is not refundable after 30 of registering. However, the tuition deposit fee can be transferred to any other date.

4. Payments from abroad must be made by credit card (Visa, MC or Amex), bank transfer, PayPal in U.S. funds. No personal and cashier’s check are accepted.

5. No refunds are made of any portion of classes or homestay once the program has begun. If I cancel with more than 2 weeks’ notice I will receive a refund (excluding registration fee). If I cancel the program due to a personal emergency and notify IMAC S.L.P, in writing, IMAC S.L.P, will review my claim and may issue a partial refund.

Small group policy:

In case the minimum group size of two students is not reached, the school reserves the right to move the individual student to a private class. The number of hours will be accordingly to what was paid under the group class.

Unless specifically noted, classes do not take place on local and national holidays. Missed classes are neither made up nor refunded.

6. The application form must be received in IMAC S.L.P offices at least one week before the day in which I would like to begin my course as an official deadline.

7. I will include the proper initial deposit payment with the application. The remaining fees are payable upon arrival.

8. Promotions/Specials are only valid under the Group Program. Packages already have a special discount, therefore they do not qualify for any promotion. Private Tutoring does not qualify for promotions unless specifically addressed.

9. If I become ill or incapacitated, The Institute and its employees may take any action they deem necessary for my own safety and well-being, if such action is to take place, I hereby exempt them of any type of liability whatsoever.

10. As soon as IMAC S.L.P has received my data, the institute will notify me by e-mail.

11. IMAC S.L.P is not responsible in any way for my general safety or health/well being. IMAC S.L.P is not responsible for any of my personal property or belongings that are lost, damaged or stolen.

12. I understand that the option of obtaining health insurance or traveller's insurance is available to me outside of IMAC S.L.P and that IMAC S.L.P does not provide any such insurance. I understand that any insurance to cover health, accident, lost/damaged/stolen property and death is completely my responsibility. I fully understand and agree that I (or any third party) can in no way hold IMAC S.L.P responsible financially or in any other manner for my health, well being, lost/damaged/stolen property, or death at any point. I understand that although IMAC S.L.P may provide a list of recommended insurance providers, IMAC S.L.P is in no way associated with these insurance providers and assumes no responsibility for any business or transactions that take place between myself and any of these recommended insurance providers. Also, I understand that IMAC S.L.P provides a list of recommended insurance providers to clients such as I as a service, but this should not be taken by me as an endorsement of any particular provider. I understand that I am free to choose any provider for my insurance at my own discretion.

I understand that as a foreign student, I may be legally required to obtain a level of medical insurance to cover any potential medical expenses or costs that could be necessary in the event of injury or my death. I hereby agree to abide by any proscribed laws that apply to me, and obtain a sufficient level of insurance to satisfy all applicable laws of the country where I will be living. I agree to disclose to IMAC S.L.P in advance any medical condition or problem that could adversely effect my learning at IMAC S.L.P’s school or the learning process of any other students. I understand that if an undisclosed medical condition that could impede my learning or the learning of others, IMAC S.L.P reserves the right to withdraw me from any/all courses I am taking with them and refund part/all of my payment for those courses according to their Cancellation and Refund policy.

13. Force Majeure: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, neither party shall be liable for any delays or failures in performance resulting from acts beyond its reasonable control including, without limitation, acts of God, acts of war or terrorism, shortage of supply, breakdowns or malfunctions, sabotage, strikes, epidemics, pandemics, riots, labor difficulties or civil unrest. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in the event of such an occurrence, each party agrees to make a good faith effort to perform its obligations hereunder.

14. Although IMAC S.L.P may provide information and suggestions to me regarding travel, excursions, outside of class activities or other subjects that may be of interest to me, I understand that it is ultimately my responsibility to obtain relevant information and to decide what information/suggestions, travel, excursions, outside of class or class activities that are given to me I will decide to use. I hereby agree that I cannot hold IMAC S.L.P liable or responsible at any point for any information/suggestions or any class or outside of class activities provided to me. I realize that any information or suggestions provided to me by IMAC S.L.P are recommendations based on previous student experiences, but that there are no guarantees implicit in any of the information/suggestions.

15. I acknowledge that I am fully responsible for my own insurance. I have read and understood IMAC S.L.P's refund and cancellation policy.

16. Inappropriate Behavior

Under certain exceptional circumstances, the student may be ejected from the Spanish language Course.

These are outlined below:

  • If the student is found to be inebriated or under the influence of any intoxicating substance, while at the school site.
  • If the student is discriminatory in any way (for example: racially, sexually, gender, mentally, physically or verbally) to any member of staff, other students, teachers or persons on the school premises or in accommodation recommended by IMAC Spanish Language Programs.

Under these exceptional circumstances, the ejected party is not entitled to any form of monetary compensation.
