The green and hospitable town of Coronado (70.000 inhabitants) is located 10km outside of San José, near the southern border of the beautiful Braulio Carrillo National Park, with easy access to the city center of San José by public buses (every 15 minutes). This small town offers a friendly, clean, safe and natural environment, where even female students going out alone will feel comfortable.

The institute was established in 1986 and is one of the oldest language schools in Central America, teaching Spanish as a second language and Latin American Culture for over 2 decades. Costa Rican Spanish is considered to be among the best spoken Spanish in the world. The pronunciation is clear, accurate, slow and accentuated.

The school is an Associate Center of Instituto Cervantes and is fully accredited by Asociacion para la Difusión del Español, Spain. US College Credits are possible through official agreements of our school with Brookhaven Community College in Dallas, Texas. They are also recognized by some German States (Bundesländer) as Bildungsurlaub: Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg, Behörde für Schule und Berufsbildung.

The academic staff is highly qualified and experienced in teaching Spanish as a second language. They are trained to use technology assisted education and teaching in accordance with the Common European Framework (A1-C2) and in compliance with EN 14804, the European Language Study Travel Norm.

The school is equipped with 10 well-furnished classrooms, a winter garden used as reception, a multimedia lab with 6 computers and Internet access, WIFI, a cafeteria and the Tourism Service Platform.
