GUADALAJARA week includes:

  • Registration Fee
  • Group course (Language immersion is from 9:00 am to 1:00 p.m.)
  • Airport pick up fee
  • Tapatio Tour Saturday morning
    Description: Schedule, Saturday departures, every 35 minutes. From 10 am to 10 pm. You may get off at any of the sites and get back on another bus as many times as you would like during the day as long as you present your ticket and your bracelet. The length of this tour is approximately 2 h ours long.
  • Tapatio Tour Saturday night + taxi back to homestay
    Description of night tour and schedule: 8 PM to 11:15 PM. Tour of GDL at night and dinner at La Hacienda del Bosque accompanied by a mariachi band. You may choose your dinner from among 3 dishes, as well as your drink: Soda, beer, or lemonade.
  • Bus GDL-PV-GDL. Roundtrip deluxe motor-coach transportation with beverages, snacks and video en route and leisure time in Puerto Vallarta.

Guadalajara amenities included with your enrollment in the Spanish course are:

  • Learning material, other than books.
  • A focused cultural exchange group between Mexican and foreign students.
  • Over 25 interactive Spanish programs in our MULTIMEDIA LAB.
  • Certificate of attendance upon completion of the course.
  • An individualized placement test and a personal interview.

PUERTO VALLARTA week includes:

  • Registration Fee
  • Group course (The Intensive program consists of 3 academic hours per day from 9 A.M. to 11:50 A.M.)
  • P.V. pick up service fee
  • Cultural meetings at a cafe (does not include food or beverage consumption)

Does not include:

  • USD$22 to $28 charge for a Spanish course book (good for four to eight weeks; depends on level).
  • Airfare
  • Accommodations
  • Other forms of transportation not included

Guadalajara accommodation options:

  • The homestay program has the advantage of enabling the student to be completely immersed both in the intensive use of the Spanish language at home as well as our way of life, our customs, and the traditional hospitality of a Mexican family. Cost $112 USD for 7 nights, it includes your 3 daily meals and private room.
  • Hotels: For those students that would prefer more independent housing arrangements while learning to speak Spanish, IMAC has obtained some outstanding discounts in several of Guadalajara's historic downtown nicest hotels. These excellent hotels that we frequently recommend have range from a 2 stars to 4 star service rating and are conveniently located within walking distance to the school, here in the historic downtown area of Guadalajara, Mexico. Prices range from approximately $96 USD to $385 USD per week.

    Description: You will be taken to the land of Tequila, 48 km (30 miles) west of Guadalajara. Learn the history of Mexico's national drink: planting, harvest, distillation, aging process, and its taste. You will visit La Roseta, the Jose Cuervo Hacienda where you can see the cultivation of the plant that is used to make tequila, the blue agave. After experiencing the Mexican ranch, you will then be taken to the processing plant where the distilling process is explained. You will also see the aging warehouses. Souvenirs and samples are available. The tour takes approximately 6 hours.

    Description: Lake Chapala, the largest lake in the country, is located 48 km (30 miles) southeast of Guadalajara. A visit to its towns and villages along the shore is a truly memorable experience. The town of Chapala boasts a beautiful church and pier, and has nearby Chulavista, a beautiful American residential colony. Ajijic is an old rustic town with craft shops, hand made rugs, clothing, leather goods, and silver jewelry. The tour takes approximately 6 hours, including one hour for lunch.
