Globally there is an escalating number of seniors therefore there is an urgent need to reach out and provide support. Many aging Mexicans don’t have the health care that they need. Provide hope for these people and do so in a setting that is beyond what many of us are exposed to.A special bond may develop between the giver of the support and the receiver. Become an integral part of the team of care providers and gain recognition for the contribution. One is integrated into the service team and learns his or her role through sharing responsibilities. The person becomes looked upon as one who is to be admired and trusted. Learn through experience how to show integrity, compassion, composure, consistency and reliability. The seniors may respond in kind showing hope, confidence and gratitude. The experience stays with the volunteer long afterwards and helps to build strength of character toward handling all life situations.
