Accommodation in San Jose, Costa Rica
For accommodation during your time in San Jose, we can offer you staying with a traditional Costa Rican host family, or in hotels near the school at various rates.
HOMESTAY
The homestay program is excellent if you wish to experience what Costa Rican family living is like, and to be fully immersed in Spanish. Host families are very carefully selected, and most of them have worked for our Partner institution for several years. The host families are very patient and are always eager to making students feel as another member, enabling them to learn more about their language and culture!
Host homes are conveniently located within walking distance (10 to 20 minutes) or a short bus ride away from the school, in pleasant residential areas. The program includes your individual bedroom, half board (breakfast and dinner), cleaning, and laundry service once per week. The program usually begins one day before classes begin and end one day after the program has concluded (6 nights, Sunday through Saturday morning), but additional nights can be booked upon request. Complimentary one-way airport pick-up service is provided by booking homestay accommodation along your Spanish program.
